HOW TO CLEAN STERLING SILVER:

Sterling Silver reacts to moisture in the air by creating layers of tarnish (oxidation) on its surface.
If you don’t like that look, here is an easy way to remove the tarnish.

What type of Jewelry can you clean?
Only clean jewelry that does not have delicate stones or pearls. This is great for necklaces, rings
and chains.

What You'll Need:
• Baking Soda
• Aluminum Foil or Aluminum Pan
• Boiling Water
• Salt
• Dish Detergent
• Drying Towel
• Polishing Cloth

Steps:
1. Boil Water – enough to cover your jewelry.

2. Add a teaspoon of salt and a teaspoon of dish detergent. Stir.

3. Line a glass or plastic dish with aluminum foil – crumpled up. If you have a aluminum pan you
can use that – just keep it only for jewelry cleaning after using it. You don’t want all that tarnish
    getting in your food! Ick!

4. Lay your jewelry on the aluminum, making sure that as much of the silver touches the aluminum
    as possible.

5. Sprinkle with baking soda. Not too much, but enough for creating the chemical reaction.

6. Pour the water, salt dish detergent mixture over the jewelry to cover it completely.

7. You should notice a distinct smell. This means the chemical reaction has occurred.

8. Use plastic utensil to move the jewelry so all surfaces touch the aluminum.

9. Remove from the water and rinse.

10. Place on towel and dry.

11. If you have a polishing cloth, give your jewelry a quick rub to bring up the shine.

Enjoy your clean jewelry!
